OUR FOUNDING MEMBER CHRISTIAN MARCEL SHIPP
A Tribute To My Nephew
This has been more of an uphill climb than I had imagined a year ago when my nephew Christian Shipp and I started developing the idea of this business venture. We traveled together to trade shows; went out of town to visit franchises; and was working through the start-up process. Unfortunately, Christian died in a car accident May 31, 2020. He was a very fine young man with a great future ahead of him. After graduating from Morehouse College, May 2018, he held several jobs. More importantly, he had a personal relationship with God and was coming into his own as a church musician, playing drums and bass guitar throughout Metro Atlanta. His peers saw him as a great motivator. He showed his civic mindedness while serving as the Youth Council President for the Rockdale chapter of the NAACP. He was an aspiring entrepreneur in the foreign exchange market and had ranked up to Platinum2000. Christian touched many lives – both young and not-so-young. Some commented that he was a bright light to them, helping in any way he could.
His legacy will be that we must all keep shining that light. Reach for things that may look like they are not achievable. Get out of that comfort zone. Dream Big! (His Instagram handle was “bigg_shipp.”) Christian, Your Light Is Deeply Missed! Yet, we are pressing on in your memory. In your own words, “God Is The Greatest!”
