Personal Trainer
The Personal Trainer’s objective is to increase Personal Training Revenue via recurring membership electronic funds transfer (EFT)or Paid in Full (PIF) Training Packages, with a focus on retention, by ensuring the highest level of service for Fitness 1440 personal training members. The Personal Trainer is responsible for developing individualized exercise programs consistent with Fitness 1440’s members’ personal fitness and exercise goals.

Major Responsibilities
- Maximize sales of personal training memberships and retain current members.
- Effectively motivate, encourage, and retain personal training members.
- Effectively demonstrate various programmed exercises and routines
- Monitor clients’ exercises to communicate correct techniques to improve fitness and minimize
injury. - Modify exercise routines for different levels of fitness and skill.
- Monitor clients’ progress and adapt programs as needed.
- Explain and enforce safety rules for safe and effective use of exercise equipment, and
participation in recreational activities and sports. - Provide clients with advice and other resources about nutrition, weight control and lifestyle.
- Inspect club and studio regularly to ensure a neat and clean facility.
- Other duties as assigned.
Group Exercise Instructor
The Group Exercise Instructor’s objective is to increase recurring membership EFT, with a focus on retention, by ensuring the highest level of service for FITNESS 1440 members. The Group Exercise Instructor is responsible to lead, instruct and motivate FITNESS 1440 group personal training members by Group Exercise Instructing classes; servicing seminars and special events; and ensuring overall studio cleanliness and maintenance.

Major Responsibilities
- Group Exercise Instructor and service classes, seminars and special events as needed.
- Effectively motivate, encourage, and retain FITNESS 1440 members.

Qualifications and Requirements
- Passionate about people. Passionate about fitness
- Ambition, drive, honesty, enthusiasm, energy, personal integrity, and a passion for the fitness industry
- Minimum of one nationally accredited group exercise certification
- Specialty Certifications may be required.
- Excellent communication, time management and organizational skills
- Computer literacy
- Evening and weekends hours may required based on class schedule.
- Certified for automated external defibrillator (AED) and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
- Six months or more Group Exercise / Training (Preferred)
- Ability to build relationship with members.
Kid Care
This employee is responsible for the supervision and care of children in a fun, safe childcare setting.
Ideal candidate:

- Plan and execute appropriate activities;
- Ability to recognize and prevent potential problems;
- Appropriately handle disruptive children;
- Maintain patience and professionalism throughout a shift;
- Ability to communicate effectively with parents/members, children, co-workers and management.
Requirements:
- Previous professional childcare experience is required.
- Current certification in infant/Child, CPR, First Aid and AED
- Pass both background and drug test

Schedule:
- 4-hour shift

Front Desk
The Front Desk Attendant is the lead customer service contact for all members, guests, or prospects. The Front Desk attendant is also responsible for selling all products and services.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greets and checks in all members and guests
- Sells all products and services
- Liaison between members and Membership Office: Including prospects and current members
- Schedule for Class, Personal Training & Tanning
- Answers and directs all incoming phone calls
- Fields all member complaints and concerns
- Performs Opening and Closing Procedures for the club if assigned those shifts
- Responsible for keeping both Program and Check-In desks clean, neat, and orderly
- Attends monthly departmental meetings
- Maintains professionalism when not assisting members; avoids eating, sitting, reading, Internet surfing, or
any other activities that are not work-related - Creates the “First Impression”
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

- An understanding of health club operations
- Must be a team player, willing to cover or trade shifts when necessary

REQUIRED EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Must have experience in customer service
- Experience in health club or the hospitability industry is preferred
- CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications (must be obtained within 60 days of hire)
